Definition and details
Yuan Hai Zi Ping contains introductory terminology, pattern discussions and verse in different genres. These are not all sequential steps of one algorithm. Ziping names a chart tradition rather than guaranteeing one identifiable author for every line. Separate basic explanations, pattern entries and mnemonics before locating a statement within a particular witness.
Structure and history
Transmission narratives connect the work with Song-era Xu figures, while the available Wikisource witness is cataloged under Ming compiler Yang Cong. It is also marked incomplete. Traditional association, compiler attribution, print date and transcription progress are distinct information; choosing one famous name cannot erase the remaining history of textual formation.
A concrete example
Its verse passages compress judgments into rhythmic or parallel statements. Break a mnemonic into its condition and conclusion, then look nearby for exceptions. This explains why memorizing one line does not reconstruct a complete method and prevents historical status vocabulary or rankings from being carried into assessments of people today.
Context and limits
Comparison with San Ming Tong Hui or later notes requires explicit textual layers and definitions, avoiding the projection of modern manuals into older verse. Variants, rearrangements and additions affect searches; an absent digital match does not prove original absence. Textual study documents how rules were expressed without proving predictions through age, fame or example count.
